Let your wanderlust take you to the foothills of Majestic Himalayas with Winter Snow Trekking Expedition in Manali. This is one of the most picturesque and enchanting treks in the Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. The ideal trek for beginners who have just discovered their love for trekking. This trek will take you to the altitude of 9000 ft and will give you breathtaking views of the Himalayas.

Before beginning the Winter Trek in Manali, you get an orientation followed by a nature walk. This hike helps you get accustomed to the Himalayan weather and prepare for trek.  On day two of this winter trek in Himachal Pradesh you explore the lush meadows of Lamadugh. You visit the famous village of Vashisht, known for its hot springs on the third day. The sulphur-rich water of its ponds is believed to have therapeutic qualities, healing different kinds of ailments. Here, you will get the opportunity to take a rejuvenating dip in the soothing waters. On this day of the excursion, your eyes also feast on the sights of the charming Jogini Falls; do not forget to take pictures here.

By Road: Manali is well connected to Delhi. Take an overnight bus from Delhi and you will reach Manali in 12 ‐ 14 hours(approx 540 KMS). Tickets can be booked online at www.redbus.in  or www.hrtc.gov.in  

Tip: Since Delhi Manali is a long journey most Volvo private buses leave Delhi between 5 pm and 6 pm. The last govt bus leaves at 8.30 pm from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Volvo buses charges between Rs.1,000 to 1,400 per sector from Delhi to Manali and vice versa. Manali to Delhi: Like the onward journey, buses leave from Manali to Delhi between 4 and 5 p.m. Your tentative arrival at Delhi may be anywhere between 6 a.m and 10 a.m. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delays.

By Train: Nearest Railway station is Ambala (350 kms) and Chandigarh (310 kms). Tip: Regular Volvo and Buses are available from Chandigarh to Manali in the evening. Volvo buses charges between Rs.700 to Rs.1,000 per sector from Chandigarh to Manali and vice versa

By Air: Nearest Airport is Bhuntar is 60 Kms. ​Bhuntar, which is 52 km away from Manali, is the nearest airport. Taxi services are available from Bhuntar to Manali, which costs about Rs.700‐ Rs.1,000. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air. The airliners that take you to this Airport are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher airlines, MDLR Airlines and Jagson Airlines, operating flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Kullu.

Day-wise details

Day 01: Arrival in Manali | Orientation | Nature Walk

  • The winter trek in Himachal Pradesh begins in the scenic hill station of Manali, one of the most preferred holiday destinations in India. Situated at an elevation of about 6700 feet above sea level, the town is a favorite among tourists throughout the year. .
    Report at the camp in the morning and participate in an orientation programme, followed by a nature walk. Later, enjoy an overnight stay in a homestay.

Day 02: Old Manali – Lamadugh – Manali (9 km/5-6 hours)

  • Start your day with an amazing trekking experience to Lama Dugh. Spend some moments here enjoying the bounties of nature. One of the most scenic places in and around Manali, it will refresh your body, mind and soul. On reaching Manali, spend the night in a homestay.

Day 03: Manali – Jogini Falls – Vashisht (9 km/6-7 hours)

  • After freshening up, begin this winter trek in Manali by heading to Vashisht, famous for its hot springs. Here, you will get the chance to take a dip in the therapeutic waters that are believed to cure different types of diseases.
    During the day, you also get to visit the cascading Jogini Falls. A sight of the landform will refresh you for the journey ahead. This is the perfect opportunity for you to pose with your friends or family and click a few pictures. Thereafter, enjoy a good night’s sleep at a homestay in Old Manali.

Day 04: Departure from Old Manali & White Water Rafting

  • After a hearty breakfast, move for your onward journey, taking with you memories of the adventurous excursion. You may explore Solang Valley, go for river crossing and white water rafting on your own as the Volvos departs for your onward journey in the evening.
