Manali, with plethora of treks, has gained huge popularity among trekkers and mountaineers. Bhrigu Lake trek is one of the best treks in Manali that presents fabulous views of this emerald valley.
You will be lucky enough during Bhrigu Lake trekking as it offers you a chance of meandering through the Rohtang Pass, spotting the divine Bhrigu Lake and soaking in the beautiful springs of Vashisht. The trek portrays the lovely hill station of Kullu Valley at its best, and is sufficient enough to keep you busy in capturing the picturesque landscape throughout the trail. Distance by Road : Manali is well connected to Delhi. Take an overnight bus from Delhi and you will reach Manali in 12 ‐ 14 hours(approx 540 KMS). Tickets can be booked online at www.redbus.in or www.hrtc.gov.in
Tip : Since Delhi Manali is a long journey most Volvo private buses leave Delhi between 5 pm and 6 pm. The last govt bus leaves at 8.30 pm from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Volvo buses charges between Rs.1,000 to 1,400 per sector from Delhi to Manali and vice versa. Manali to Delhi: Like the onward journey, buses leave from Manali to Delhi between 4 and 5 p.m. Your tentative arrival at Delhi may be anywhere between 6 a.m and 10 a.m. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delays.
Nearest Railway Station : Nearest Railway station is Ambala (350 kms) and Chandigarh (310 kms). Tip: Regular Volvo and Buses are available from Chandigarh to Manali in the evening. Volvo buses charges between Rs.700 to Rs.1,000 per sector from Chandigarh to Manali and vice versa.
Nearest Airport :Nearest Airport is Bhuntar is 60 Kms. Bhuntar, which is 52 km away from Manali, is the nearest airport. Taxi services are available from Bhuntar to Manali, which costs about Rs.700‐ Rs.1,000. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air. The airliners that take you to this Airport are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher airlines, MDLR Airlines and Jagson Airlines, operating flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Kullu.

- Day 01: Arrival at Base Camp Old Manali
Arrive at Manali Base Camp on your own. We take you for an acclimatization walk through Old Manali village trail of Manali Peak. You will visit the Manu Temple- This magnificent temple is dedicated to the sage Manu, who is said to be the creator of the world and the writer of Manusmriti. Orientation regarding the trek will be given in the evening and will cover important information like how to pack your rucksack, walking technique and general information about the trek route. We will stay the night at Base Camp- Old Manali Cottage.
- Day 02: Drive from Old Manali Base Camp to Kolang Nallah | Trek to Mori Thatch Campsite | 1 Hour Drive | 06 KMS | 06 HOURS
After the Breakfast we will start a drive to Kolang Nallah and start a trek from Kolang 3-4 hour of hike we will reach Kolang Nallah. Carry sufficient water in your bottle as there are very limited/No source (depending on the season) of water before Kolang Nallah. There is a makeshift wooden bridge on this Nallah for most of months. After crossing the Nallah the camping site is another 1.5-2 hours hike away. Mori Thatch is a scenic campsite covered from 3 sides with mountains which gives excellent protection from winds. It is an ideal camping spot where the water source is flowing across the camping ground.
The ascend till Mori Thatch is moderate and will take around 3 - 4 hours to reach. There are two streams on the way to the camp site (Chor Nallah and Kohli Nallah). Mori Thatch is a beautiful camp site and offers amazing views of the Solang Valley. Overnight stay in tents at Mori Thatch Camp Site.
- Day 04: Trek to Vashisth Hot Water Springs | 08 KMS | 06 Hours
We will start the last day of the trek with a descent to Vashsith Hot Springs through the deodar forest ranges. This trekking trail is steep and takes you to the Vashisth. Here one can enjoy the dip in natural hot springs and relax after the trek. Trek ends. Alternatively, depending upon the weather and your trekking strength we may take a shorter and easy route through moderate descend around 04 hours to reach Kolang Village. You may have time to explore Vashisth or Manali or Solang Valley on your own.
