Day 1
Off to Manali
Off to Manali from Delhi & Chandigarh
Trip starts with an exciting overnight journey to Manali from Delhi & Chandigarh in a Volvo Bus. This is the best option to travel in Super Deluxe Semi Sleeper Volvos with LED. Delhi to Manali is 540 Kms, 12 Hours of Journey.(Delhi to Chandigarh is 230 Kms & Chandigarh to Manali is 310 Kms). We will take a halt for Dinner at Chandigarh and before Manali for a hot cup of tea after entering in the valley of God, Himachal Pradesh.

Arrival in Manali
Arrival at Manali- The Valley of God; Leisure day
Upon your arrival at Manali early in the morning, our representative will escort you to the hotel check-in to the hotel & relax. Freshen up & proceed for a hearty breakfast. The day is at leisure, go sightseeing or try local food. Post-noon, enjoy sightseeing, River Crossing, Rock Climbing and Rappelling or rent a bike to ride by the river beas and explore Old Manali, Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Vashisth Hot Springs. Delectable dinner and comfortable overnight stay.  Reporting at the Base Camp Manali.(Maximum Height Gained 6,610 Ft/2050M)

Start to Jispa
Start to Jispa via Solang Valley & Rohtang Pass
Drive from Manali to Jispa after breakfast Via Rohtang Pass. Jispa is a village in Lahaul and located 20 km north of Keylong and 7 km south of Darcha along the Manali-Leh Highway and the Bhaga river. There are approximately 20 villages between Jispa and Keylong. Overnight Stay and Dinner at camps/hotel in Jispa.

Travel to Leh & Ladakh
Travel to Leh & Ladakh
Drive from Jispa to Leh after Breakfast.. Overnight Stay & Dinner at Guest House in Leh. Begin this day by heading towards Leh passing Nakeela and Lachung La Pass. Post lunch at Pang, resume your journey moving over the biggest plateau of Shyang Chu Thang, Tanglang La Pass and Indus Valley(Maximum Height Gained 15,547 Ft/4,739 M/257 Kms/9-10 Hours)

In Leh
In Leh: Acclamatize, Relax and Explore
This is the liesure day in Leh to explore in and around places in Leh. You may visit the local market, Shanti Stupa and Monasteries OR you may go for the rafting on your own in Indus River.
Day 6
Khardung La & Nubra Valley – The Cold Desert
Highest Motorable Pass in the World - Khardung La Pass & Nubra Valley – The Cold Desert
Drive from Leh to Khardung La Pass-The Highest Motorable Road in the world(18,380 Ft/5,602 M/40 Kms/3-4 Hours) & Onward journey to Nubra Valley - You may encounter Double Hump Camels in the Cold Desert.
Day 7
Pangong Lake
Drive from Nubra Valley to The High Grassland Pangong Lake between India and China Border via Shyok or Wari La
Drive from Nubra to Pangong Lake after the Breakfast by Car. Overnight Stay & Dinner at Pangong Lake. It is 134 km long and extends from India to China. Approximately 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 km. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

Drive from Pangong Lake to Leh after the Breakfast. Overnight at Stay & Dinner at the Guest House in Leh. (In case you want to travel back by road to Manali or Srinagar then our team will assist you to reserve your seat for overnight journey to Manali or Srinagar at an additional cost)

How to Reach Manali:
Distance by Road Manali is well connected to Delhi. Take an overnight bus from Delhi and you will reach Manali in 12 ‐ 14 hours(approx 540 KMS). Tickets can be booked online at www.redbus.in or www.hrtc.gov.in Tip : Since Delhi Manali is a long journey most Volvo private buses leave Delhi between 5 pm and 6 pm. The last govt bus leaves at 8.30 pm from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Volvo buses charges between Rs.1,000 to 1,400 per sector from Delhi to Manali and vice versa. Manali to Delhi: Like the onward journey, buses leave from Manali to Delhi between 4 and 5 p.m. Your tentative arrival at Delhi may be anywhere between 6 a.m and 10 a.m. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delays.
Nearest Railway Station Nearest Railway station is Ambala (350 kms) and Chandigarh (310 kms). Tip: Regular Volvo and Buses are available from Chandigarh to Manali in the evening. Volvo buses charges between Rs.700 to Rs.1,000 per sector from Chandigarh to Manali and vice versa.
Nearest Airport Nearest Airport is Bhuntar is 60 Kms. ​Bhuntar, which is 52 km away from Manali, is the nearest airport. Taxi services are available from Bhuntar to Manali, which costs about Rs.700‐ Rs.1,000. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air. The airliners that take you to this Airport are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher airlines, MDLR Airlines and Jagson Airlines, operating flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Kullu.

Overview & Things to Know:
Reporting @ Camp: You need to report at the Base Camp International Youth Club – Manali before 10:00 AM on reporting date.
Accommodation Type: Accommodation in Hotels & Camps of good standards on Twin, Triple or Quad Sharing Basis. There will be a separate accommodation for Males and Females if required.
Difficulty Level: Moderate - Beginners and Intermediate Level
Age Limit: Members above 18 years of age may participate in the expedition. No upper age limit.
Things to Carry:
  • T-shirts, Trekking Pants, Windproof jacket preferably with a hood.
  • Warm and thick Fleece, Full-sleeve Woollen sweater, Thermal inner wear (upper & lower), Woollen cap, Woollen gloves, Woollen socks & regular socks (3-4 pairs), Scarf/muffler (optional).
  • Comfortable Trekking/Hiking shoes (shoes with a thick sole are recommended).
  • Lightweight floaters/sandals/slippers, Raincoat / Poncho.
  • Small light weight towel, Water bottle.
  • Sunscreen Lotion, Sun glasses.
  • Cap to keep the strong sun away from your face.
  • Walking stick / Trekking pole, Sunscreen Lotion, Lip Balm, Torch / Flashlight (with extra batteries).
  • Medicines (if requiring any specific medication).
  • Personal toiletries, Books, if you like reading.
  • Day pack/small bag which you will carry on your back every day and keep your essentials in it.
  • Camera with charged batteries.
  • Please avoid carrying expensive watches, jewellery and electronic items on the trek.
Important Note: International Youth Club takes utmost care to ensure safety of its members during the trekking expeditions. However, in the case of any unforeseen mishaps, International Youth Club will not be liable for any injuries caused or for loss of life. All disputes rising due to the above are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi/Delhi only. All participants would be required to sign an Indemnity Form before the start of the program, without which they would not be allowed to take part in the trekking and expeditions.
 
Terms & Conditions:
  • All bookings are strictly subject to availability and confirmation by payment of Non-refundable Advance.
  • All payments to be made in advance.
  • No Check-in to the Base Camp without full payment confirmation.
  • No Check-in without valid Govt approved ID. Your id will be checked before Check-in.
  • No pickup/drop will be made on­route. No detours will be made for picking up/dropping people.
  • Departure time is given and is fixed. You have to report by that time. It's on you to update your status to trip coordinator. Anyone missing the check-in will not be entertained for refund etc and it will not be International Youth Club’s responsibility. We will try to call you twice before departure. Any phone not getting connected will not be IYC's responsibility.
  • Timings are sacrosanct. Two times follow up will be done on phone. If we are unable to reach/we do not get a communication, we will be departing. No refund will be made for late arrival no matter what the reason for the delay is.
  • We request not to travel with heavy luggage only light luggage or bags are allowed.
  • Management shall not take responsibility of a missing items during trip, hence requested not to travel with too much ornaments, jewellery, cash and other etc.
  • All our packages are ‘group packages’ and same services/items are applicable for each person in the group.
  • Any meal, activity or service not availed by the participants will not be adjusted in the package cost and non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • We do not allow drinking during the expedition. Anyone found drunk at the time of expedition will be refused entry and no amount will be refunded. International Youth Club also reserves the right to discontinue your trip at any point on the grounds of misconduct.
  • We entertain only those persons at the campsite for whom the booking has been made. No additional persons will be entertained under any circumstances until communicated through email at bookings@internationalyouthclub.org
  • We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft or any other reason, guests are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred­ directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, accident, breakdown of machinery, equipment's, transport, weather condition, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
  • Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. may dictate itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort & general well-being.
  • We reserve the right to revoke services of anyone not following the instructions of our guide during an activity. We reserve to right for cancellation in case someone misbehaves under influence of alcohol.

Purpose of the Expedition International Youth Clubs focuses to promote sustainable tourism to preserve country’s environmental heritage. We aim to bring about a positive change via encouraging benefits of sustainable tourism, intercultural dialogue and culture of peace, in association with local communities, which is a motivational force for sustainable practices. These communities play a pivotal role in preservation of cultural identities and natural heritage, and they become pressure point for an equitable local share in the economic benefits of tourism. We encourage all to come forward and join the expeditions to mark the change and protect environmental heritage.
Photography & Videography Competition All the participants may transfer and share their pictures/videos taken through the expedition at the base camp before check out from the camp by making folder in the name of participant in their respective batch folders in official laptop stationed at the Base Camp OR the same may be transferred through Google drive. The nominated jury will select the best 10 pictures to be published by the International Youth Club to showcase the expedition. The selected winners will get the opportunity to join in any of the expedition organised by International Youth Club within next one year as a token of reward.
Certification After successful completion of the program, the participating members will be awarded a certificate of completion the trekking expedition by International Youth Club.
